[Detailed Itinerary]

Day 1: Hobart > Salamanca > Cherry Picking > Mt. Wellington > Richmond. After being picked up at the airport, head to Salamanca Place, which every Saturday features a wide selection of high-quality artwork, fresh produce, and street performers. Next, ascend Mt. Wellington—the highest peak in the Southern Hemisphere at 1,270 meters—to gaze toward Antarctica and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Hobart. Visit Australia’s oldest brewery (exterior view), Cascade Brewery, where you’ll have the opportunity to sample a variety of Australian beers. The tour concludes in the charming town of Richmond, home to Australia’s oldest stone bridge and oldest Catholic church. As Australia’s best-preserved historic town, it offers a journey back in time 180 years to a nostalgic world straight out of last night’s dreams. Be sure to visit the town’s candy shop and the Instagram-famous bakery to sample the renowned scallop pie.
Day 2: A Day Trip to Bruny Island to Enjoy Local Cuisine, After breakfast, drive south through downtown Hobart to the ferry terminal. Take the ferry for a 20-minute ride to Bruny Island, then drive along the coastline to the famous “The Neck,” a habitat where penguins return to roost. Visit the island’s oyster farm to taste Tasmania’s most delicious oysters* (at your own expense). Explore the bustling Adventure Bay on Bruny Island and look for the white kangaroos, which are unique to the island. There are small shops on the island where you can enjoy cheese, sample seafood, and have a glass of whiskey.
Day 3: Tasman Peninsula > Port Arthur > The Four Great Wonders. After breakfast, head to the Port Arthur Prison Ruins* on the Tasman Peninsula (at your own expense) Port Arthur* (at your own expense), a site where convicts were exiled during the colonial era and now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The largest prison in the Southern Hemisphere, nestled between the mountains and the sea, has no walls and features cells with ocean views—it will definitely shatter your preconceived notions of what a prison is like. On the way back, we’ll also visit famous local attractions such as the Blow Hole, Tasman Arch, Tessellated Pavement, and Devil’s Kitchen.
Day 4: Royal Botanical Gardens > Mt. Field > Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls. After breakfast, head to the Royal Botanical Gardens for a stroll and enjoy the beautiful scenery of colorful blooms. Proceed to Mt. Field National Park. Home to a cluster of waterfalls—a rare sight on an island—stroll through one of the world’s few remaining temperate rainforests and visit the famous Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls.
Day 5: Hobart > Swansea > Wineglass Bay, In 1999, the American travel magazine *Outside* named Wineglass Bay one of the world’s top ten beaches. However, nestled among the mountains, Wineglass Bay’s beauty is not immediately apparent; visitors must climb to a higher vantage point and put in some effort before they can fully appreciate its splendor. Along the way, stop in the picturesque coastal town of Swansea to take in panoramic views of Tasmania’s east coast from various angles.
Day 6: Hobart > Sheffield > Cradle Mountain. After breakfast, head to Sheffield, the “Town of Murals.” Here, everything from ATMs and record stores to cafes and restaurants—even the abandoned houses—is adorned with murals, creating a romantic and dreamlike atmosphere! Arriving at Cradle Mountain, take a short hike along Dove Lake. Along the way, you’ll encounter Cradle Mountain’s ancient vegetation—wattle trees and water oaks—and may even come across some adorable wombats.
Day 7: Launceston > Swiss Village > Cataract Gorge > Lavender Farm/Tama Wetlands Park. After breakfast, take a stroll through the Swiss Village cultural resort. Next, head to Cataract Gorge, where you may occasionally spot colorful peacocks and wallabies. Take a ride on the Sky Ride* (at your own expense), the world’s longest single-span cable car. After lunch, visit Bridestowe Lavender Estate* (at your own expense, mid-December to mid-January). You can sample lavender ice cream and lavender brownies. Outside of lavender season, head to Tamar Island Wetlands, a small island on the River Tamar that serves as an important bird sanctuary. On the way back to Hobart, pass through the town of Ross—the place that inspired Hayao Miyazaki’s original concept for *Kiki’s Delivery Service*. Why not stop by Ross Bakery—where Kiki worked—and grab a fresh-baked loaf? (Note: The route from Launceston does not pass through the town of Ross.)
