Day 2: Melbourne to Phillip Island
Spend the morning at your leisure, then head to Philip Island in the afternoon to visit the habitat of the fairy penguins, a species unique to Australia. Our first stop is the Rainbow Houses in Brighton. This colorful little world is sure to fill you with endless joy and happiness—it’s a great spot for taking photos and checking in on social media. Next, at 3:30 p.m., we’ll head to MARU Zoo, an incredible animal paradise. Although this portion is at your own expense, it will be an unforgettable experience where you can get up close and personal with all kinds of adorable animals and enjoy a wonderful time together. After dinner, you’ll have the chance to witness the spectacular sight of the penguins returning to their nests. This is the moment when the penguin colony returns to their nests, working together to protect their chicks.

Day 3: Melbourne—Sovereign Hill Gold Mine Day Trip
Head to Ballarat, Australia’s famous historic gold rush town. At Mount Souffren, you’ll have the chance to experience life during the gold rush era and discover the thrill of panning for gold. In the gold rush town, staff dressed in period costumes serve visitors, making you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time to the gold rush era of a century ago. Here, visitors can enjoy a unique underground mining experience (available as an add-on for $8) while watching the process of turning pure gold into gleaming gold bars. This historic gold rush town will take you on a journey filled with history and adventure, allowing you to deeply appreciate the rich charm of the local gold rush culture. Afterward, visit St. Anne’s Vineyards Winery, which boasts over 100 years of history. Here, you can sample the delicious wines produced on-site at your own expense and enjoy the winery’s beautiful scenery.

Day 4: Melbourne—Great Ocean Road Day Trip
In the morning, we set out from Victoria’s west coast and wind our way along the Great Ocean Road, passing through the town of Anglesea and the Red Hat Lighthouse. On this beautiful journey, we can gaze out at the ocean and take in the enchanting blend of the South Pacific and the rugged coastline. We’ll make a brief stop at the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch to admire and learn more about this magnificent highway. Afterward, we’ll arrive at Apollo Bay, with its crescent-shaped bay, where you’ll have the option to enjoy lunch (at your own expense). Next, we’ll head to the Twelve Apostles, a cluster of rock formations rising from the waters of the South Pacific that continue to be eroded by the tides and sea winds to this day. You can also opt for a helicopter ride (at your own expense: $165) to take in a panoramic view of the Twelve Apostles from the air and experience the grandeur of this natural wonder. Along the way, we’ll also pass through Loch Ard Gorge, a unique landscape carved by the sea—it’s sure to be an unforgettable day!
